Hugh Laurie (The Night Manager, Veep, House) stars as self-made British politician Peter Laurence in this taut political thriller from Academy Award® nominated David Hare (The Hours). Peter’s public and private lives seem to be falling apart—or are rather being picked apart by his enemies. As the personal revelations spiral, he is shamelessly untroubled by guilt or remorse, expertly walking a high wire between glory and catastrophe as he seeks to further his own agenda. “Laurie nails the contradictions of Laurence, who tries kindness on for size but only to see whether it fits with his consuming ambition,” says the New York Times.

Helen McCrory (Peaky Blinders, Harry Potter, The Queen) joins Laurie, playing no-nonsense Prime Minister Dawn Ellison, fighting to stay in the know when it comes to Peter Laurence. The cast also includes Saskia Reeves (Us, Wolf Hall), Iain De Caestecker (Us), Millie Brady (Mr. Selfridge, The Queen’s Gambit), Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters), Pip Torrens (Poldark, Grantchester), Pippa Bennett-Warner (Gangs of London), and Shalom Brune Franklin (Line of Duty), among others.
